Coverage: Figo has three plans with unique annual coverage limits – Essential ($5,000), Preferred ($10,000) and Ultimate (unlimited). These plans cover emergency services, surgeries, hospitalizations, laboratory and diagnostic tests, prescription drugs, cancer treatments, alternative therapies, mobility devices and rehabilitation. Chronic, congenital, hereditary and bone diseases are also covered. Pet owners can choose a 70%, 80%, 90% or 100% refund rate and a $100, $250, $500 or $750 deductible. However, if you choose a 100% refund rate, it can only be combined with a $500 or $750 deductible.
Extras: Figo has three different “power-ups” or add-ons that you can buy to supplement your base policy. Health packages are available at the Basic or Plus levels for preventative care or routine services such as blood work, vaccinations, flea and heartworm prevention and spay/neuter surgery. Both cover the same services, but the annual coverage limit differs.
Another power application option covers the cost of your pet’s vet visits due to an accident or illness, but not routine care visits.
The Extra Care package covers situations other than vet visits, including boarding fees for pets while in hospital, cremation and burial costs, pet theft, notice and money for a lost pet, and vacation cancellation if your pet gets sick and you have to cancel your trip.
