Meet Our Pets Of The Week With Trixie And Nellie

Tricy

Meet Trixie, a lovable 7-year-old Lurcher looking for a new home. Tricy is very sweet and loves to cuddle.

Don’t be fooled by her age because she loves to run; She loves her and is a very talented girl who has picked up some new tricks.

Tricy may live with another dog, depending on how successfully he appears at Oak Tree. Trixie has separation anxiety so we need a family of at least 2, so there will always be someone home for her. After she moves in, she will need to begin separation anxiety training.

Trixie walks beautifully on a lead and loves to explore, she is also a great jumper so her guardians should be aware of this when letting Trixie off the lead even in the garden – you will be surprised how high she can go. !

Please get in touch if you think you can provide Trixie with a forever home with plenty of cuddles on the couch.

Nelly

Adorable little Nellie needs a quiet home with a patient owner to help build her confidence. She comes from a multi-cat family but we feel she would do best as an only cat in her home.

Nellie was in a house with cat flu, which is common in cats with the same symptoms as human flu. Symptoms often appear during periods of stress. If potential adopters keep up with annual vaccinations and watch for symptoms, they usually lead healthy, normal lives.

Nellie is not sitting in the cattery, we are working hard to make her more comfortable but we feel she would be better off at home. So we would be open to offering her a foster-to-adopt plan. She is enjoying the outdoor space in the cattery at night so we want to put her in a home with safe outdoor access away from busy roads.

Hopefully, in time, Nellie will come out of her shell and make a good companion for anyone willing to make the effort.
