However, the bait, usually fresh or salted clams, is kept very close when counting the big bass in the buckets. Squid strips also breathe eagerly, as do green crabs, and Fishbites EZ Clam and Fish’n Strips Clam baits. All on high/low bindings. We love the synthetic pair of the latter.
The countdown continues. It doesn’t take long to put a few vacuum-sealed packages in the freezer. Of course, the catch of the day is a grilled sea bass fillet recipe, and we bake the big knuckles whole. Don’t worry though, the sweet white meat freezes well and can be enjoyed for months on the road.
