The way a cat sits on its owner’s couch has left the internet in stitches after it was shared on Reddit’s popular r/cats forum.
Alexandra lives in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with her one-year-old cat Nico, who strikes a funny pose while relaxing at home.
“He adopted me a little over a year ago,” said Alexandra News week. “I was at a beach house for the weekend with some friends and while we were having a bonfire on the beach, he jumped on my lap. He followed me all weekend and when I left, he followed me to my car. I asked him, ‘Do you want to come with me?’ And the little cat jumped in the passenger seat.
In his new home, the cat quickly adopted a funny habit shared on Reddit — sitting on the couch with his hands up while learning on his hands.
“It always sits like that,” said Alexandra. “He also sleeps like that and slides around on the couch until he’s completely on his stomach. He’s just a loaf of bread that likes to be comfortable.”
Nico isn’t the first cat with an unusual landing spot to grab the Internet’s attention. Earlier in the week, many on social media made fun of a cat lying on its stomach on the floor.

Having enjoyed Niko’s extraordinary relaxing space, Alexandra wanted to share it with others. “I’ve never seen a cat do that,” she said.
When he’s not kicking back on the couch, Nico often spends time with his beloved owner and canine friends.
“What I love about him is that he is the sweetest and most loving cat I have ever met. He loves people and other animals. He likes to get along with my other dogs and often sleeps on the dog bed,” said the owner.
“He also talks to me: he meows loudly to let me know he needs food, water, a snack or a belly rub.”
