Milwaukee pet laws
All dogs and cats 5 months of age and older must be licensed annually. If you do not license your cat or dog, you may receive a citation.

You must license all dogs and cats 5 months of age or older. You will need to provide proof that your dog or cat has an up-to-date rabies vaccination. License fees are $20 for dogs and cats that are spayed or neutered, and $25 for unneutered and unneutered dogs and cats. There is a fee for puppies and kittens of $12.50 for bonded or unbonded cats and $15 for unbonded or unbonded puppies and kittens.

Your pet does not need to be tagged with a collar if it is safely confined indoors, only in a fenced area, or if your pet is in a dog or cat show competition.
